The Saint of the Day is St. Isidore of Seville!
👨‍💻 💻📱
Born in Cartagena, Spain, in the year 560, he was one of several children, including three other siblings that became saints. These three were Sts. Leander, Fulgentius and Florentina!

Isidore was taught and educated by his elder brother, whom he succeeded as bishop of Seville.

He was sometimes known as "The School Master of the Middle Ages" for he was an extraordinarily learned man, who wrote an entire encyclopedia that was used as a textbook for nine centuries!

Not only did Isidore write this encyclopedia but also many other works too, including a dictionary, a history of Goths (the Visigoths invaded Spain a century and a half before Isidore's birth, bringing with them the Arian Heresy) and a history of the world-beginning with creation!

During the last 6 months of his life, Isidore's home was constantly filled with the poor from across the country from day till night because of his magnificent charity!

St. Isidore is the patron saint of internet users and computer users!

St. Isidore of Seville, pray for us!

God bless!
